Boosie's hosting a Black Tie Experience: Live In Concert With Orchestra & Band at the Johnny Mercer Theatre on Saturday, November 15th. A black tie experience featuring Boosie Badazz as the main event might not have been on your bingo card. However, it could turn out to be one of the best experiences at the Johnny Mercer Theatre as we move toward the end of the year. Boosie is promoting a new album in 2025 titled "Words of a Real One."

Not too long ago, the thought of a Boosie Badazz black tie event would've been laughed out of the room. This man came up the ranks in the '90s with incredibly provocative lyrics. He was doing trap music and distracts before people even knew what they were. Pretty much however you want to frame it, this performance seems like one of the biggest mismatches you'll ever find. That is, of course, if you're expecting to see the Boosie from the 90s taking the stage here at the Johnny Mercer Theatre. In more recent years, the man has turned to jazz and other musical influences that could actually pair well with the symphonic treatment that we're getting on November 15th.

The tracks that seem to fit real well with the live orchestra could come from Boosie's 2018 album Boosie Blues Cafe. In 2025, the man also released "Word of a Real One." In most cases, you'd expect performers to want to perform their latest material, but the mood of the event might not fall in line with his latest tracks. Again, there's just so much mystery surrounding this event.
