Transcending their initial fall engagement, Casting Crowns adds 20 new spring dates to their 20th Anniversary Tour: A Live Symphony Experience, premiering this April in Virginia. Its final quarter of concerts will kick off on May 2, a Thursday night, at the Johnny Mercer Theatre, where you’re welcome to bask in God’s boundless love through the GRAMMY Award-winning rock group’s soaring symphonies!
“This special anniversary tour is a way to celebrate all that God has done so far, and we wanted to do something different," band frontman Mark Hall said in a statement.
"We’ll be bringing an orchestra, creating some really special, unique moments, sharing stories from our journey together, and playing the songs you’ve enjoyed from us since the beginning.”
Right on the heels of the tour’s extension, Casting Crowns issued a special commemorative album, Lifesongs: A Celebration of the First 20 Years, featuring reimagined versions of their greatest hits, which may make surprise appearances at the concert! They also released a documentary film titled “Home By Sunday” via Sony Music Entertainment, chronicling two whirlwind decades of their musical journey on and off-stage.
Stand witness to these revered Contemporary Christian Music icons who sold over 10 million records worldwide with frontman Mark Hall’s powerful voice at the helm. From their namesake debut in 2003 to 2022’s Healer LP, the band has placed either first or second in Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart, with several Top 10 peaks on the Billboard 200. Their first four albums, including the GRAMMY Award-winning Lifesong, held a Platinum-certified streak showcasing their iconic fusions of reflective pop-rock and worshipful lyricism, which you’ll experience in breathtaking resonance. During this period, Casting Crowns unleashed a string of triple-charting #1 singles in Billboard’s Christian music ranks, including “Voice of Truth,” "Praise You In This Storm,” "East to West,” and "Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)." In 2010, Casting Crowns received the highly coveted Dove Award for Artist of the Year from the Gospel Music Association, notably pushed by the previous year’s release, Until the Whole World Hears.
